Who is Austin eAutos?

We are a family run company with over 45 years combined experience in the industry and all share a strong passion for what we do. We love to drive cars, talk cars, service cars, and detail cars. But most of all, we love to pass on our finished product to you. We realize the car buying experience can be frustrating and exhausting when having to physically shop franchise dealerships. We are here to help you find the car you want while providing a hassle free experience. Our knowledgeable staff will answer any questions you may have about our existing inventory or any other vehicle questions you may have. We know your time is valuable so we offer live chat during business hours and return all email inquiries promptly. Where does Austin eAutos get its vehicles?

We get our inventory from a variety of sources. Often they are single-owner credit union and bank lease returns or dealer trade-ins of the highest quality. We also purchase cars from individuals, offering more money than other dealers in most cases. Feel free to give us a shot if you want to sell your vehicle!

How do I know the quality of my purchase?

We DO NOT sell vehicles with a lemon law buyback history, salvage titles, branded titles, flood damage, frame damage or vehicles that have had the airbags deployed. Basically, if we wouldn’t be confident letting our children drive it, we won’t sell it!

Every vehicle we sell comes with a free CARFAX™ Report (the premiere on-line vehicle history reporting service) which reports any accidents, water and hail damage, title history (date & location of prior purchase, sale, state inspection and registration), odometer reading, and number of previous owners. Autocheck™ reports are also available upon request. We physically inspect every inch of our vehicles and service any issues we find during our 150 point check. We know your purchase is important to you and want you to feel confident we have made every effort to be as thorough as possible. We also perform a complete exterior, interior, and engine detail to ensure the most aesthetically pleasing vehicle. Keep in mind these are pre-owned vehicles and there will be the occasional scratch or ding or missing piece that cannot be repaired. Some of the vehicles may only have one key or key fob. We also try to insure that all our vehicles have at least 10,000 miles remaining on the tire life.

Can I have the car mechanically inspected before I buy?

Absolutely! We want you to be 100% certain about your purchase so we welcome inspection of any of our vehicles. Austin eAutos recommends Auto P.I. (www.autopi.com) for thorough and honest inspections for local buyers and out-of-state buyers. We can also help in getting the vehicle to any other inspection site within reason; however, you will still be responsible for the cost of the service.

How do I pay for my vehicle? Do you offer financing?

Yes, we offer financing with competitive rates for all credit levels through several national banks and local credit unions. Most of the time, we are able to save our customers money by offering them a lower rate than their financial institution. All of our contracts are simple interest with no prepayment penalty. If you choose not to finance the vehicle or go with another lending source we will accept certified checks, wire transfers or bank drafts drawn on US banks only. The only two banks we are unable to work with are Capital One and Bank of America due to their corporate policies. We limit credit card transactions to $2000 and do not offer “buy here – pay here” financing.

Are there additional fees not included in the Buy Now price?

The other fees charged at the time of sale include taxes, a documentation fee and the license and registration fees. If you live in Texas, we must collect the 6.25% sales tax due to the state. Non-Texas buyers will be responsible for paying applicable sales tax in the state where the vehicle will be registered unless you use our financing, then we must also collect your states taxes and fees. We also require all buyers to pay a Texas Vehicle Inventory Tax (VIT). The tax is minimal, only .1960% of the purchase price. The title and registration fees in Texas are $106.00 on cars and 111.00 on trucks along with $29.75 emissions fee for Travis and Williamson counties. We also collect a $125 documentation fee that covers costs incurred for handling/copying paperwork, filing titles, and postage.

Do you accept trades or purchase vehicles?

We absolutely do accept trades and will also purchase your vehicle. We will evaluate and appraise your vehicle based on the current market, condition, options, miles, and vehicle history. Additionally, the value we give you is good for 7 days or 250 miles as either a trade in value or if you just want us to buy it from you.

Do you offer extended service agreements?

Yes, we have multiple options available to protect your vehicle after the manufacturer’s warranty expires. We know how important this peace of mind is to a buyer so we utilize service contracts backed by nationwide companies that can be used at any ASE Certified repair facility, including the dealership for your particular make, or even here at our Austin eAutos service department. If I live out of state, how do I receive my vehicle?

We offer two options for delivery. Option 1: Fly into Austin Bergstrom International Airport and drive your new pre-owned vehicle home. We will personally pick you up and drive you to our facility where your vehicle will be waiting. Many of our customers make a weekend trip out of their new purchase to stay and take in the amazing Austin flavor. Whether you enjoy live music, historical tours or breathtaking hill-country scenery, Austin’s small town feel, big-city atmosphere offers something for everyone. Option 2: We arrange for delivery to your door by Open or Closed carrier transport. Although you will pay the shipping costs directly to the transport company, we will provide multiple quotes from fully bonded and insured companies and help facilitate the process. The transport usually takes about 1-3 days to set up. Once the carrier is set up, vehicle delivery usually takes between 5 and 10 days after the pick-up of the vehicle depending on location, weather, holidays, etc
